i want to say it was a Great White. this was in the early 1900s. I was lving on the Gulf Coast when all of the bull shark attacks were prevalent. I was swimming a mile or so away when the coach from Robertsdale AL lost his arm to a bull shark. That was the first shark attack in 17 yrs (i think) in Alabama. We had alot that summer. All bull sharks.

That's odd that a Great White would attack that many people. I heard that they might take a nibble, but they usually decide that humans don't taste so good. Maybe this guy thought otherwise. That or he was hungry.

I still won't forget the Discovery Channel program I saw during shark week when a shark expert did an interview waist deep in water that had a ton of bull sharks in it. And he was surprised (surprised!) that one bit him. Hello?! Anybody home up there?
