A Picture a Day -- Week 26

Yes, I'm several weeks behind in posting these, but I'm still taking pictures! Here's Week 26!



Monday, June 22nd:



Basil! I grow basil, oregano, sage, parsley, and catnip in my kitchen window. I used to have cilantro, but it was infested by some kind of green bug that laid eggs on all the plants. I put it outside, and it died not long after that. One of these days, I should try and replace it.


Tuesday, June 23rd:



This is the sock that I finished and then messed up. I was weaving in the ends, and when I cut off the extraneous yarn from the end, I accidentally nicked one of the stitches in the sock. It started unraveling in the middle, and there wasn't anything I could do to get it to stop unraveling. Guess this means that I'll have to make another sock. Maybe, this time, I'll do an easy lace pattern at the top.


Wednesday, June 24th:



I don't know what I was trying to go for here. When I went out to take the picture, it was cloudy and looked liked it was going to storm.


Thursday, June 25th:



I went outside to take pictures, and realized that the clouds were gorgeous.


Friday, June 26th:



This was the vase that my husband and I bought from the Raku exhibit at our town's art fair earlier this summer. We painted it and had it fired in the kiln. Unfortunately, it's missing a chip at the back of it. Something went wrong while it was in the kiln.


Saturday, June 27th:



doomsey was updating the file servers on Saturday. He spent the whole day taking computers apart, so his office was a mess.


Sunday, June 28th:



We went to a birthday party for our niece that Sunday. This is one of my sister-in-law's nephews. He and his twin brother must be kind of shy. They ran off after I took this picture.
