Picture a Day -- Week 34

Monday, August 17th:



cosettemonster likes to attack feet. She usually does this when I am in bed and my feet are under the covers, but Monday evening, she was in rare form.


Tuesday, August 18th:



I spent Tuesday hanging out at the Brookfield Zoo and monkeying around with my camera. Monkeys are so much fun to watch; they're very expressive.


Wednesday, August 19th:



I picked up a little Halloween decoration at Hobby Lobby over the weekend.


Thursday, August 20th:





Not only was there a gorgeous sunset on Thursday evening, but there was also a rainbow. Since I couldn't decide which picture to post, you've got two of them. In the first picture, the storm clouds are reflecting light from the setting sun.


Friday, August 21st:



A spider has made his home not far from our front door. His web is attached both to the house and to the ground below. It looks precarious, but it's pretty strong. It's survived a couple of storms already. By the way, does anybody know what kind of spider this is?


Saturday, August 22nd:



doomsey and I went to the Renaissance Faire Saturday afternoon. Since I had a hard time making up my mind which one to use, I posted two. The first picture is of a random couple dressed up in a steampunk outfits. This is the first time I've seen steampunk fashion at the faire. Really cool! The second is of a performer, who I assume is dressed as autumn.

Also, for those poor souls who have never been to a Ren Faire before, here's video of a parade.


Sunday, August 23rd:



On Sunday, doomsey and I went to my niece's first birthday party.

I think it's a garden spider, if I ever saw one.
